about

After playing a show together at Olympia's CAPITOL THEATER, Arrington de Dionyso's Malaikat dan Singa, ONEIDA, and The Lights entered the cave of Dub Narcotic Studio around 2AM on August 21st 2010 and proceeded to record about thirty sides of short improvised sound prisms to plastic plates using Arrington de Dionyso's 1940's era record lathe. Now you get to listen to the results yourself. Please consider leaving a donation if you enjoy what you hear. For more information about the physical lathe cut records themselves, please contact arringtond@gmail.com . THANK YOU!

about

Arrington de Dionyso Olympia, Washington

Arrington de Dionyso conjures Utopic Spaces with multiphonic vocal work & minimalist instrumentation. It's shamanic seance meets rock and roll ecstasy; “TRANCE PUNK” combining traditional ritual trance, electrified experimental approaches, dancehall rhythms, gamelan scales and mystically inspired Indonesian incantations. Shocking and hallucinatory, MALAIKAT DAN SINGA always aims to channel Spirit. ... more
