This item is a double CDR package of Senyawa's album ALKISAH as remixed and reinterpreted by Arrington de Dionyso of "Malaikat dan Singa", along with an additional CDR "Elo Progo Improvisations" performed by Arrington de Dionyso and Rully Shabara of Senyawa in 2013 at the same location in Central Java where "Alkisah" was also recorded.

Packages will include both CDRs with a color printed wrapper, along with a larger poster of the cover art that you can hang up on the wall of your bedroom directly above where you sleep and dream.

This poster pack includes ten different 11x17 reproductions of handpainted posters created for the occasion of the first SENYAWA concerts that organized in the US, along with several additional posters created to promote concerts I performed in Indonesia in places such as Yogyakarta and Palu, Sulawesi, and also a poster originally made for the Palu Earthquake Relief benefit. As an act of Sacred Reciprocity, we are continuing to raise funds for our community in Palu that are specifically sent to members of the arts and music community to assist in their efforts to preserve the ancient culture of the Kaili "Lalove" sacred flute.

Indonesian band SENYAWA has made history with the release of "Alkisah" which will definitively be remembered among the best albums of 2021. By allowing the album to be released and remixed by almost 50 different labels they are completely undermining and revolutionizing the way that music is shared in the trans-modern landscape.

I have been an active collaborator with Rully and Wukir since 2011- working together with them on our earliest multi-city tour of Indonesia as part of the Malaikat dan Singa "Suara Bahaya Tour" organized by Yes No Wave Music. We have performed and recorded together on many other occasions including my bandcamp release "Unheard Indonesia Vol. 5" and at our residency at Pioneer Works in NYC in 2016 after I organized the band's first ever concerts in the United States.

I am overjoyed to bring you my own personal "remix" of ALKISAH made with the band's blessing. It is temporarily set to "pay what you want" download so that our friends in Indonesia will be able to enjoy, but please donate $10-20 if you can afford it, this is a fundraiser for our community of artists and musicians in Palu, Sulawesi to help them preserve endangered traditions and bring vibrancy to a community devastated by recent earthquakes, tsunamis and mudslides. A "physical" CDR version is also available.

See also the parallel release today of "Elo Progo Improvisations" which was recorded with Rully in 2013. These improvisations were recorded in the same location as where the band built their studio to make "Alkisah"- at the Tempuran Elo Progo near Borobodur. It is the meeting point of the mighty Elo and Progo Rivers in Central Java and a very potent sacred location. It is said that in early Buddhist history Lama Atisha travelled from Bengal to this exact area of Central Java where he meditated for twelve years before returning to the continent to become a founder of Yellow Hat Buddhism in Tibet.
